I've just got back from German karneval ie six days of drinking beer and kopfler and vodka and dressing up in ridiculous costumes and eating only carbs and now I have major post holiday blues/a transcendental hangover. I miss everyone already although am quite relived not to be currently drinking.

Talking of Running

Here's me (and my mum) back in September, before the Bristol Half Marathon

This time I've been sent a Beat running vest. I'm super duper excited to wear it and be all like 'Heeeeell Yeaaaaah Fuck u Ed.'

Everyone should do/say the same thing to all the things that make them sad (as in 'fuck u'). Including people. If someone doesn't make you feel happy and comfortable then they shouldn't be in your life. SEE YA people who don't make us happy.

Have a happy Thursday!!!

Half Marathon & Drinking Beer

Nine minute miles for nine miles. BOOM.

I'm excited for the half marathon now, until recently I was really quite nervous. Training has not been easy what with the the hurricane force winds that have been battering the uk recently. Sometimes the wind is so strong that I'm running but not actually making any progress, like a cartoon running in midair before realising and crashing to the ground. I don't crash to the ground though, obviously. I just make no progress and feel frustrated and unfit.

I'm going to a German beer festival (in Germany. Unsurprisingly.) with a group of friends next week; a solid week of drinking is ideal training I feel. So I'm doing what is in effect my last week of training before I bunk off to Germany and try to find a love of beer (I'm more a cocktail or g&t kinda gal, not that I've mentioned my active dislike of beer to anyone yet...) and then I have about six days to recover AND THEN thirteen miles beckons.

A friend who went on the same trip last year informed me that he was hungover for over a week. 'You're going to struggle,' he helpfully said in regards to the half marathon 'you're going to suffer'.
Boys are always such drama queens. I'm never as hungover as they are, purely because they are always so over dramatic about their suffering. I'll be totally fine.

If you want to sponsor me for my second half marathon or want to know more here's the link:

Off for a run, have a happy Thursday!!

Today Ellie (the Ellie that I mention an actual embarrassing amount and who bakes really good cakes) asked me why I don't blog anymore.

YEAH GOOD SHITTING QUESTION ELLIE.

I don't know why I haven't blogged since September but here I am ready to blog blog blog like a crazy bloody blogger.

Yippe!!

Also, I've just discovered that today is Random Acts of Kindness Day. I definitely haven't celebrated this at all (ie I haven't performed any random acts of kindness) but am going to do so tomorrow because spreading kindness is nice and can be done randomly on any day of the year.

Double Yippe!!

BUT OH MY GOD HOLD THE PHONE JUST ONE HOT MINUTE.
Tomorrow is also Drink Wine Day. DRINK WINE DAY. Tomorrow, the entire day is dedicated to drinking wine. I can totally celebrate that, although the idea that drinking wine needs a special day is sort of ridiculous/actually offensive. But whatever, I wont say no to another very good reason to crack into a bottle of horribly cheap wine on a Tuesday night.

Triple Dipple Raspberry Ripple Yippe!!!

I've chopped off all my hair

...and I'm not very good at taking selfies. This took literally hours lols.

Anyway, I went to Bleach in Dalston and showed my uber cool hairdresser a picture of Agyness Deyn. She put a toner on my hair so that it was less yellow, snipped a load off, asked me how I felt, to which I replied 'nervous' and then she told me there was no going back now and proceeded to give me the best hair cut I have ever had eva in my life eva eva.

I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I journeyed back across London from the depths of east. I totally 100% LOVE IT.

Definitely start of the new sassy and assertive and confident new me. Watch this space.

Uh oh spaghettio

Uh oh spaghettio I'm behind agaiiin. I still haven't rambled on about the rest of Barcelona because I went off to V fest which was incredible and beyonce made me cry because she's so fab and then we went straight to Portugal - as in like, four hours after the kings of leon finished we were arriving at Heathrow - so I just haven't had a chance. I know you're all on the edge of your seats because I did leave barcy adventures on a bit of a cliffhanger but you'll just have to try and contain your excitement at hearing all about razmataz for a teeny tiny bit longer because I'm on my way to Devon. Like, now. Am currently in a very small, full car waving goodbye to the sunny London weather. I've got my wetsuit and trainers and am looking forward to a chilled week in the sea and training.
The last days of summer are sad, but that whisper of autumn in the cool morning air before the heat of the determined final days, has a promise of new exciting things. Autumn is my favourite time of year. I hope everyone else has a lovely start to September.

Vicky and Ellie are getting their A level results tomorrow.

I'm approximately 2.7% less anxious this year, for theirs, as I was last year, for mine.

Eww it is so horrible.

Super duper good luck to them both, and super duper good luck to anyone else who is getting results tomorrow too!!
